Only in Delhi: Run in toxic air, get detained while speaking up for clean air
Two contradictory events unfolded in Delhi on Sunday as the city choked on toxic air. In the morning, the Supreme Court Bar Association held a “Justice for All” run and walkathon – an event critics said was organised while putting public health at risk. By evening, citizens protesting the same air crisis at India Gate were detained by the police.
This reporter and producer Tarun Sahu were detained too, while covering the protest.
