TV Newsance 324 | Putin fever, rupee crash and Parliament dogfight
On this week's episode of Newsance, we dive into how our Godijeevis went gaga the moment Putin’s plane wheels hit the tarmac.
From screaming how fit and smart Putin looks, to how our dear leader broke protocol to receive him, there was no end to the overexcitement and devotion. Amidst all this, India Today’s Anjana Om Kashyap and Geeta Mohan managed a major scoop – an interview with Putin! And then they interviewed themselves to celebrate the interview. A full congratulatory universe. A cinematic multiverse of self-praise.
Next came the drama in Parliament. Renuka Chowdhury brought her dog onto the premises, and TV channels acted as if someone had launched a ballistic missile indoors. Watch the episode to see how anchors reacted!
Meanwhile, the rupee hit a historic low, but strangely, the same anchors that outraged in 2013 when it touched 61 now suddenly sees it as “no big deal”. Aaj kal sab changa si, apparently.
