Back in policy land, the Delhi government has rolled out its Air Pollution Mitigation Action Plan 2026, promising a tougher fight against toxic air. The plan includes stricter checks on polluting vehicles, dust-control measures, cleaner public transport, and deadlines to clear the city’s landfill sites. It also proposes strengthening the “No PUC, No Fuel” policy. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced that from November 1, only BS-VI, CNG, or electric goods vehicles will be allowed to enter Delhi, alongside a significant push to expand the electric bus fleet and EV charging infrastructure.
