Can your panel spend a few minutes talking about how India decides which government has performed well? Is there a national department where the statistics of unemployment,poverty, literacy numbers are recorded. This is to understand the constant fights between politicians on TV about which party / government has performed better.

Is there a way statistics can tell us which government has performed well since Independence? And is this a good way to measure how well a government has performed?
