In a throwback to Vyapam, a student from Bihar appeared for NEET 2017 at two exams centres
An incident of cheating in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 has come to light. A candidate from Bihar filled two forms with two different names using what appears to be a slightly photoshopped image. According to reports, he used one of the admit cards to give the NEET paper at one centre and used a “scholar” to give the exam at the other centre allotted to him.

Reminiscent of Madhya Pradesh’s Vyapam scam, Kumar filled another NEET form from the same IP address and changed his name to Aryu Kumar. Details such as parent’s names, date of birth, address, and category are same in both the forms. Kumar, a resident of Motihari, appeared in the NEET 2017 exam at DAV Public School, Ranchi. Meanwhile, in the name of Aryu Kumar, a “scholar” gave his paper at Tender Heart Senior Secondary School, Ranchi.
Scholar is a term used for fake candidates who appear for someone else in the exams.
The news daily Prabhat Khabar claimed that while photo used in Aryan Kumar’s admit card was original, the picture submitted in Aryu Kumar’s form was photoshopped –the hairstyle and shape of the nose were changed.
