Claudio Bravo saves three penalties, propels team to Confederation Cup finals
Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo saved three penalties and helped his team reach the Confederation Cup finals. “That was unbelievably stressful,” admitted the 34-year-old Bravo, as Chile won 3-0 on penalties to set up a showdown on Sunday with Germany.
Bravo deftly deflected attempts from Ricardo Quaresma, Joao Moutinho and Nani. Chile, on the other hand, was able to convert all their on-spot kicks into goals.
The encounter was otherwise mild as none of the teams were able to score in the stipulated time going into extra time.
Chile will face Germany in the final match after they beat Mexico with a score of 4-1 on Thursday.
The Confederation Cup 2017 is being held in Russia. The final will be held on July 2, 2017.
