AAP’s Kejriwal is on an apology spree

After apologising to Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal has now expressed regret at making “unverified claims” against Bharatiya Janata Party Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. According to ANI, Kejriwal wrote in the letter: “I have nothing personal against you. I regret the same. Let us put the incident behind us and bring the court proceedings to a closure.”

Gadkari had previously filed a criminal defamation case against Kejriwal in 2014 after his name was included in AAP’s list of “India’s most corrupt”.  A joint application was submitted in Patiala Court, Delhi, by Kejriwal and Gadkari on Monday, seeking the withdrawal of the defamation case against the former. According to Outlook, Kejriwal may soon apologise to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley too.
