RPG Group chairman Harsh Goenka ‘jokes’ about farm loans, Twitter is unimpressed
The chairman of Indian conglomerate RPG Group found himself in a spot of hot water yesterday. Harsh Goenka had tweeted a “joke” in the context of the farm loan waivers announced by the Congress in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
Goenka’s tweet didn’t go down well in all quarters, with plenty of people calling him out for being insensitive, and suggesting that corporates avail of their own benefits from the government.
