This week on TV Newsance, our primetime poets turned into WhatsApp shayari machines, dropping couplets that would make even Ghalib file a noise complaint. But the real twist wasn’t their poetry – it was their sudden ability to question power once Indigo messed up their flights. A disruption close to home and boom: spines grew, monopolies became dangerous, and Arnab briefly joined the “tukde-tukde” school of asking questions.

Suddenly, everyone was worried about the growing monopolies and duopolies and the lack of accountability, even though we have been saying the same thing for years now. But the devotees of the dear leader found a loophole even in this – blame it on the coalition leader!

And in Parliament? A 10-hour marathon on Vande Mataram! Because who cares about the air choking people, the rupee free-falling, flight chaos, or widening inequality anyway.
