What is AAP doing to help Delhi carnage victims?
Communal violence in Delhi late last month left over 50 people dead and several hundred injured.
The immediate spark for the violence was allegedly a speech by BJP leader Kapil Mishra. Mustafabad, Karawal Nagar, Chand Bagh, Shiv Viharm and Jaffrabad were among the localities worst affected by the violence.
Facing criticism for watching the carnage from the sidelines, Delhi’s AAP government announced a slew of measures to help the victims. They opened nine shelter homes and are providing medical aid and monetary compensation.
Anusuya Som went to the ground to see how these measures were being implemented.
