Watch: Why BJP's Swapan Dasgupta finds fighting elections 'bloody hard work'
On the last day of campaigning in Tarakeswar, prime minister Narendra Modi arrived with three helicopters to address a crowd of BJP supporters from across Bengal. There, we caught up with the BJP’s candidate, former journalist Swapan Dasgupta.
We questioned him about the second wave of coronavirus infections amid public rallies, how different it's campaigning for an assembly election than being in the Rajya Sabha, the BJP’s strategy of not declaring a chief ministerial candidate, and whether the prime minister should be wasting taxpayer money on his hectic campaigning for assembly elections.
