Civic issues, development, price rise: What Bengaluru’s voters worry about
Karnataka will vote in the Lok Sabha polls on April 26 and May 7. Days before Bengaluru casts its vote, Pooja Prasanna and Anisha Sheth caught up with a cross-section of the city’s voters to find out what they want from this election.
A student voting for the first time in a general election says he’s lived in Bangalore Central all his life. But he’s “never seen Mohan once”, referring to the BJP’s PC Mohan who is seeking reelection from the constituency. He worries that politicians no longer “put their constituency first”.
Another voter talks about issues of development – water, sanitation and living standards. “You see flyovers and metros, but at what cost?” she asks.
They also bust “myths” about Bengaluru, from the weather to communal issues. Watch.
