Aaj Ka AQI
Jan 20, 2025: Aaj Ka AQI from CJI official residence
Aaj Ka AQI is a new show aimed at fixing accountability for a solution to India’s air crisis. For episode 19, Newslaundry went to the Chief Justice of India’s official residence on Monday.
The building at Krishna Menon Marg is currently vacant as Justice Sanjiv Khanna refused to relocate citing the duration of his tenure. But what has the CJI done to address the issue of air pollution?
Outside the building, the PM 2.5 level hovered around 200 while the air detector pegged PM 10 at around 235. The AQI reading at the nearest station in Delhi was 221 or in the ‘poor’ category.
