Aaj Ka AQI: After President’s push for ‘clean air’, we evaluate pollution outside her home
Over the weekend, President Droupadi Murmu urged citizens to “think about the kind of air our children will breathe”, saying it’s “our moral responsibility to provide a legacy of a clean environment to the coming generations”.
On Aaj Ka AQI this morning, Team Newslaundry stood outside the President’s official residence of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The air pollution levels were “normal” but not “good”, with particulate matter levels still above prescribed safe limits.
So, if everyone in power is concerned about air pollution, are they actually doing anything about it?
