June 2, 2025: Despite showers, Delhi’s air quality remains poor
Despite rain and storms, the air quality index in the national capital remained in the ‘poor’ category on Monday at around 130.
Newslaundry reached Delhi University’s South Campus in Moti Bagh, where thousands of students attend classes each day.
There are two air quality monitoring systems near South Campus – one in Vasant Vihar and another at Delhi Cantonment. In Vasant Vihar, the PM2.5 level was 46, PM10 stood at 128 and the AQI was recorded at 127. In Delhi Cantt, PM2.5 was pegged at 47, PM10 at 120 and the AQI stood at 128.
