For today’s episode of Aaj Ka AQI, Newslaundry visited the inter-state bus terminus at Kashmiri Gate – a crucial transport hub with heavy traffic.
The nearest official monitoring station at Chandni Chowk pegged the AQI at 387, in the “very poor” category, while our own monitor showed 406, placing it in the ‘severe’ category.
Vehicular emissions are the primary contributor to Delhi’s poor air quality. But public transport infrastructure has been lagging behind.
