Feb 23, 2026: Warmer air but AQI near ‘poor’ even in green zones
Warmer air may have improved the city’s air quality but it is still far from satisfactory even in greener areas.
For this Aaj Ka AQI, Newslaundry went to JNU, where the AQI was pegged at 192 by the nearest air monitoring station. Our own air monitor estimated the AQI to be hovering in the poor category around 200.
A recent JNU study had flagged the presence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria or “superbugs” in the air, posing a new health risk.
