NL Interviews: Nitin Sethi on how electoral bonds are a new form of ‘currency’
In this exclusive interview, Newslaundry‘s associate editor Meghnad S sits down with journalist Nitin Sethi, who’s been making waves this week with his investigative reports on electoral bonds. Meghnad pokes and prods Nitin to explain the issues with electoral bonds, why the government’s explanations don’t make sense, and whether these bonds can actually clean up political funding in India.
Through the course of the interview, Nitin explains how electoral bonds are a new form of currency and why citizens need to be made aware of the influence they might have on India’s political economy.
This interview is a follow-up to Nitin’s reports which were published on NL Hindi. You can find them here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5.
