Explained: What's the 'TRP scam' and how was it done
The Mumbai police's unearthing of a "TRP scam" earlier this month sent shock waves through India's media industry, with top TV news channels accusing each other of fudging their ratings. This isn't the first time that rigging of television ratings has come to light, nor is it surprising that it's happening again.
