In Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur, 44 teachers on duty during the panchayat poll have died of Covid. Their families point at the lack of social distancing protocols followed during the poll conducted on April 15. Some struggled to get beds and oxygen, while others paid exorbitant amounts to private hospitals for treatment.
