In August, hundreds of scientists got together to scrutinise thousands of research papers on climate change. The result was a report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which said one very important thing: that climate change is now irreversible and humans are responsible for it.
While the world struggles to come to terms with this new reality – where we're facing a climate crisis, not just climate change – the Modi government is also making some plans. So, what is the government doing and what role will India play globally?
