This week, Manisha Pande, Raman Kirpal and Anand Vardhan are joined by Indian economist Jayati Ghosh.
The conversation began with the government’s “Amrit Kaal” budget. They discuss how this budget is being perceived as a huge relief to the middle class and has been called an election budget, to which Jayati disagrees.
The conversation moves to Hindenburg Research’s report which claims the Adani Group had “engaged in a brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme over the course of decades”, and how the report led to a fall in Adani’s share price.
The panel also discussed Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar’s statement on an alliance with the BJP, the Bharat Jodo Yatra, and more.
