An attempt to normalise and mainstream conversations on mental health issues.
This is episode one of Mind ki Baat, a Newslaundry podcast with a neurodivergent host that will focus on the invisible epidemic of mental health issues in society today.
Why this podcast? While there are more news reports and headlines on mental health issues now, especially after the Covid pandemic, they’re just the tip of the iceberg. There’s very little understanding of basic terminology, let alone the ways these issues impact lives.
Episode one will focus on anxiety, arguably one of the most well-known mental health issues today. What’s it like to live with it as opposed to how the world perceives it? We’ll give you both personal and clinical perspectives. The episode features conversations with Sadaf Raza Zaidi, a social media influencer who lives with anxiety, and Dr John Victor, a psychologist at Delhi’s Reevin Mental Health clinic who works with patients with anxiety disorders.
Tune in.
