This week, Financial Times said that India, the mother of democracy, is in ill health. India has also been called an ‘electoral autocracy’ by the V Dem Institute in their latest report. 

We try to analyse how true these claims are through the prism of the Indian media and how free and fair democracy in India really is. Meanwhile, to the surprise of absolutely no one, the media this week found an issue to attack a prime minister – just not Modi.
