This week, Newslaundry’s Abhinandan Sekhri, Manisha Pande, Raman Kirpal, and Anand Vardhan to discuss the violence in Sambhal and the Maharashtra-Jharkhand assembly election results.

On the violence in Sambhal Abhinandan says, “I have seen a video of the police team going for the mosque survey. Now there is this bunch of 20-30 people shouting ‘Jai Shree Ram’ and stuff. Imagine if 50 Muslim people raised slogans outside, there will be guaranteed UAPA.” Raman says there is an atmosphere of distrust after Ayodhya.

The panel then discusses the Maharashtra-Jharkhand assembly elections results, as Raman says, “I think Modi-shah played a Bhisma Pitamah Role by standing away from the campaigning.” In response, Abhinandan says, “Although I don’t think they played such roles,  I think it was more about the RSS flexing that ‘dude we can win this election without you’.”

They also discuss the dynamics between entrepreneur Elon Musk and the US President-elect Donald Trump.

This and a lot more. Tune in!
