Once a candidate for the NDA, Singh is now in jail, accused in a murder case in Mokama. He also has 28 criminal cases against him, with charges including attempt to murder and dacoity.

Before his arrest, Singh became a YouTube and TV “content machine”, going viral for asking for cigarettes mid-interview. From then on, it was chaos – journalists queued up for selfies and sound bites, chasing views instead of stories.
