The pop culture podcast that isn’t afraid to pop the bubble.
While discussing Dhurandhar 2:
Abhinandan: So, are there any Bengalis in Dhurandhar?
Sucharita: Well, I'll just check. They do a lot of commentary on the 1971 war. So, in a manner of speaking, it goes there.
Trupti: Abhinandan, now you're giving ideas to Aditya Dhar, saying that now make Dhurandar 3, where they'll portray Bengalis as, you know.
Abhinandan: I don't think I can give ideas to Aditya Dhar.
Veer: He's very intelligent. I have to say this also.
Sucharitra: But they did. They went to the creation of Bangladesh and all. So, yeah.
Abhinandan: I saw his press conference, and I almost vomited.
Sucharitra: I haven't seen that press conference. What was he saying?
Abhinandan: They said that ‘you are doing propaganda for BJP’. He said, ‘Do they need a small film like Dhurandhar when they have built the Ram Temple? Modi ji has done…’ How do you face anyone? I mean, how low must your self-esteem be to grovel like that anyway?
We have all this, plus a whole lot of Awful and Awesome in this special episode, where Abhinandan is joined by film critic Sucharita Tyagi and our AnA quiz winners: Trupti Kulkarni and Veer Ojas Khanna. They discuss Dhurandar 2, Sentimental Value, and How to Get to Heaven from Belfast. The panel also recommends Punjabi songs.
