A Newslaundry investigation into the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Uttarakhand has revealed a deeply concerning pattern. 

Numerous applications were filed to remove the names of Muslim voters from the electoral rolls. Many of the individuals listed as applicants in these filings are associated with the BJP. 

Following the discovery of such cases, more questions arose. Were these objections filed en masse without adhering to the rules? And if so, what action did the Election Commission take? The findings go further still. Some of the individuals in whose names these objections were filed later submitted affidavits stating that they had never filed them in the first place. They alleged that their names, EPIC numbers, and signatures had been fraudulently used.

Did the Election Commission initiate any FIR or criminal proceedings following these complaints? What exactly is transpiring in Uttarakhand under the guise of the SIR? Who is behind these applications to remove names of Muslim voters? And why is the role of the Election Commission coming under scrutiny?
