The media must be free and fair, uninfluenced by corporate or state interests. That's why you, the public, need to pay to keep news free.
ContributeMove over Abhijeet Mukherjee, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Somnath Bharti, the Khaps and Alka Lamba. We women have yet another person who has some keen insights on protecting women. This time, it’s Maharashtra State Women’s Commission member and NCP member, Asha Mirje. The very wise Asha Mirje has been kind enough to enlighten us on the fact that it is we women who are responsible for rapes. According to Mirje The Wise, assaults on women happen because of three reasons – our clothes, our behaviour and because we go to inappropriate places, and we should make sure our body language and clothes are not inviting. As an ode to Mirje The Wise, we’ve put together a graphical depiction of what causes rapes in the world of Mirje.
