The India Today group runs a poll titled ‘How Much Do You Hate Kejriwal?’ We try and emulate the inspired quiz.
It’s political season in the capital with Delhi set for fresh Assembly elections this winter. Naturally, polls and surveys will be the flavour on prime-time news for the next month or so. The India Today group, however, seems to have jumped the gun with a quiz on their website, Newsflicks, titled quite simply: How Much Do You Hate Kejriwal?
And Aaj Tak and India Today have been pushing it on social media.
Interestingly, the quiz has nothing to do with Kejriwal and has zero questions pertaining to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief. Here’s a sample of some of the questions the survey asks:
How’s your memory?
The one SRK movie you could watch for hours on end is…
Your favourite season is…
And this is supposed to tell us whether we like or admire Kejriwal. We wonder if this quiz is Newsflick’s attempt to understand the political mood in the capital or at farce. The website’s Twitter handle claims it presents smart news for a smart generation like this:
Humour is like a blade. If you don’t know how to use it, you end up slashing yourself. We know, we have enough scars to prove it. Since this is such inspiring stuff, we thought we’d also jump on the survey/quiz bandwagon and help our readers decide whether they are fans of Newflick-style journalism. (The answer to the quiz is yes irrespective of the option you choose.) Do you love journalism à la The Today Group?
