What do you want from your elected representative? It turns out that the bulk of our political candidates have rather dubious track records, especially when it comes to the number of criminal cases filed against them. As news came in of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gaining leads in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa, Abhinandan Sekhri spoke to Nilesh Ekka of the Association of Democratic Reform (ADR) about the data that ADR has gathered on candidates in these five states. They were joined by Amit Bhardwaj, reporting from Lucknow; Manisha Pande in Dehradun, and Shruti Menon, who was at BJP headquarters in New Delhi.
