Swiss tennis player Roger Federer won his career eighth Wimbledon title to become the man who has won the coveted men’s singles title most times. He beat Marin Cilic of Croatia 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in the finals on Sunday.
Federer was tied with seven titles with Pete Sampras of the US and William Renshaw of Britain until Sunday’s victory, which was also the 19th Grand Slam title for Federer.
