Thanks for getting Madhu madam back on the show.
I have one complain from hafta, lack of detailing on topics. Abhinandan has previously mentioned
that hafta is a free flowing discussion but it will be great if we can get some detailed/expert opinion
on a topic before the panel can put forward its opinion. I know it will not be possible to get expert on
every topic at the same time but can we get the expert to record a video/audio and the video/audio
be played before the panel puts forward its opinion.
Second will be a suggestion on can you have a poll on the website like on a Wednesday for
subscribers to vote for topics they will want the panel to discuss on hafta.
Thirdly, reporters without borders is your best show right now, please use more of YouTube as a
platform to reach masses.

Dear Abhinandan

I am Laxminarayan. The Gymnastics NL plays with its journalism is quite remarkable.On one hand it
soars to the skies with excellent reports on shelter homes & data protection bills and on the other it
takes interview of an interviewer about how he took an interview 11 years ago and wrote a book on
the interview he never took.This interview makes Nolan look like Nobita. kudos to the person whose
idea it was. I like Madhu’s interview with Raghu Rai and all the interviews that are taken by
Abhinandan. He tries hard to be unbiased and creates an atmosphere of reality. I will love to see
interviews of some aam aadmis (farmers, laborers and some actual chai wallas and chaukidars etc).
NL can give voice to the voiceless.I subscribe to find some sobriety in this jungle of excess and
honestly NL comes close to reflect that.I know NL has limited resources but i feel it can be well spent
on rural and societal issues and further the progressive project that the lower strata demands.

Dear Sir/Madam, (depending on host of the week)

This letter is in regard to the recommendation given in Hafta 182 i.e. the Karan Thapar interview.
While I agreed with the prognosis of the issues with Karan Thapar and Lutyens journalism in general,
I am afraid the interview wasn’t conducted in the same spirit
In the age of knee-jerk reactionary debates, which lose coherence and spiral out/digress into
personal battles, this was an exemplary example of the stated problem. Madhu madam( and I really
respect her,both as a journalist as well as a person, having been a Hafta listener from episode 23)
makes the interview a personal battle where she comes across as petty and incoherent at times.
There is a lot of presumption and prejudice attached to a lot of questions and she keeps jumping the
gun repeatedly before acknowledging the response.
What was infuriating for me was the Net result, where Karan Thapar, despite being the buffoon that
he is, comes out looking much better than he actually should, as he gains a lot of sympathy votes
due to Madhu’s madam’s conduct and incoherence during the interview
In the age of sensationalism and Twitter mob-culture of shaming and media-trials, NL stands out as
an outlier and as an example to emulate.
This interview, sadly wasn’t one
