Dear Abhinandan,

When you get criticised on Hafta, you point out all logical fallacies in the critical email/argument, which, sometimes paints the criticism as incorrect, misinformed, or invalid.

On the other hand, when Ranga uncle or Anand keep harping on facts or numbers, you insist, that there are factors which cannot be counted in facts and numbers etc., like ‘Mahol’. What you seem to knowingly, or unknowingly miss is some of the criticism coming your way is for polluting the ‘Mahol’ in Hafta discussion, no matter how logically robust your points are.

As an example, in Hafta 191, when Kritika called you out on reacting to Anand’s recommended poem verses as sexist, you made sure to make listeners understand, that verses which were recited were sexist, which gave you full right to call them sexist without knowing anything about the poem or the poet.

However, you completely ruined that poem recommendation for anyone who was even slightly interested in the poem, or the poet, or what Anand was actually trying to convey, by hijacking the conversation and taking it into completely unrelated, direction. You could have waited for others to react on the poem itself, and talked about sexism later, or even just not talked about sexism in those verses, as it really was irrelevant in that context. Maybe not sticking hard facts is harder when defending oneself, but this does happen many many times when you read emails critical of you.

Anyway, thank you for all your hard work. I feel really bad, piling on to the load of criticism aimed specifically at you, but I think you are criticized the most because you are the most active Hafta member.

P.S. : Make Meghnad a permanent hafta member already.
