The News Nation interview with PM Narendra Modi continued to make news today. Twitter is having a field day with #CloudyModi as one of the top trends.
The media must be free and fair, uninfluenced by corporate or state interests. That's why you, the public, need to pay to keep news free.
ContributeJournalists noted how the interview may have been scripted. At one point, News Nation’s camera zooms in on a bunch of papers Modi is holding, one of which has a question written on it. Anchor Deepak Chaurasia had asked this question to the PM almost verbatim. Alt New Co-Founder Pratik Sinha put up a Twitter thread on this today morning.
Meanwhile, Firstpost carried a ‘fact-check’ based on Sinha’s thread, which it now seems to have pulled down.
