The Castle Franz Kafka

This masterpiece is about being stranded in a cold land where the authorities continually try to invisibilise your existence. Deeply rooted in Kafka’s existential angst, the book asks some profound questions about politics, fascism, life, love and the microcosmic existence of an individual in the cold land of the seemingly infinite universe. A perfect read for these, metaphorically and literally, chilly winters.

The Witcher Netflix

As someone who has played the Witcher games many times over and spent countless hours playing Gwent, I was a bit apprehensive about how Netflix will treat this series. Having finished watching half a season, I can say my fears have been allayed and I’m all on board the Witcher hype train. The series is true to the game and novelisation – except a bit in casting – and has rekindled the love for the franchise in me. After I finish the series, I shall be spending my time replaying all the Witcher games again. GGWP!
