Sanjay Gupta, the editor-in-chief of Dainik Jagran, has been inducted as a member of the Prasar Bharati Board. Gupta’s tenure will last till 2025, according to a report in Dainik Jagran.

Along with Gupta, four other members have also been inducted, including veteran journalist Ashok Kumar Tandon, Alok Agarwal, music composer Salim Merchant, and the Bharatiya Janata Party's Shaina NC.

Prasar Bharati comprises All India Radio and Doordarshan Television Network. It is a statutory autonomous body established under the Prasar Bharati Act in the late 1990s. Dainik Jagran is India’s most-circulated Hindi daily and has long served as a voice for the right-wing in India, including during the Ram Mandir movement.
