The News18 anchor referred to Moinuddin Chishti as ‘attacker’ and ‘lootera’ on a primetime show in June.
The Supreme Court on Monday refused to quash the seven FIRs filed against News18 anchor Amish Devgan for his remarks against the venerated sufi Moinuddin Chishti, Live Law reported.
The court clubbed all the FIRs filed against Devgan and transferred them to be heard by a court in Ajmer, Rajasthan, but continued the stay on any investigation and coercive action against the journalist.
