The actor, who has been a vocal critic of the Modi government, further said that all the numbers had been recorded and had links to the BJP along with display pictures, which he was handing over to the police.

“I will not shut up. Keep trying,” tweeted the actor, tagging prime minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah.

He also posted a screenshot from Facebook which he said was one of the many social media posts by BJP Tamil Nadu members leaking his number yesterday and telling people to attack and harass him.

“We might survive Covid. When will we survive these people?’ the actor asked.

The hashtag #IStandWithSiddharth is currently trending at number one in India on Twitter, with several people tweeting in support of the actor.
