On its Puchta Hai Bharat show on August 31, Republic Bharat used a picture of Bahujan Samaj Party’s former Uttar Pradesh legislator Haji Yakub Qureshi to depict Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob, the son of Taliban founder Mullah Mohammad Omar.
As the show’s anchor, Aishwarya Kapoor, gave a rundown of the Taliban’s leaders, their pictures flashed on the screen. When she spoke about Mullah Yaqoob, a photo of the BSP leader appeared.
