Newslaundry has turned 12 years old, and we’re launching something brand new to celebrate – The Paper Trail!

The Paper Trail is a digital newspaper in tabloid format that will provide readers with a run-down of all the news from the weeks gone by. Our inaugural issue encapsulates Newslaundry’s 12-year journey, with some choice additions from The News Minute, our alliance partner in South India.

And, please note, this is exclusively for Game Changer subscribers and NL-TNM joint subscribers.

You may wonder – why The Paper Trail? Let me explain. In our 12 years of existence, we’ve brought you news across formats, from audio to video to text. Our major learning along the way is that there’s no substitute for good journalism. There might be no set formula for the dissemination of news, but the underlying philosophy remains the same: quality, exclusivity, and in-depth reportage for our readers.

The Paper Trail is yet another attempt in this direction. It won’t be like a mainstream newspaper and it won’t tread the typical tabloid path of sensationalism. Instead, it will redefine the format with mindful stories, providing a reader with a capsule view of all the news they may have missed.

In subsequent issues, you’ll see the best stories of the fortnight, presented in fewer words and a fun layout. We’ll try to make it interactive and we’ll keep improving on design and content. If you’re a Game Changer or NL-TNM joint subscriber, you’ll get a copy in your inbox twice a month.

Stay tuned!
