Ahead of the October 10 protest called by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Delhi is witnessing an extraordinary security clampdown.

Delhi Police has denied permission for the protest. Multiple layers of barricades have been erected on roads leading to Jantar Mantar, with Delhi Police, ITBP, SSB and other security forces deployed across the area.

How do you reach a protest when the authorities appear determined to stop you from getting there? Newslaundry's Anmol Pritam reports from the barricaded streets around Jantar Mantar.
