Hi Abhinandan, subscriber here. Just had an idea, could you include someone from the healthcare frontline dealing with coronavirus head-on on Hafta? It could be a doctor, nurse, or even an anganwadi worker. Let's know what's going on there at the ground, their issues, and everything.

Just writing in to thank Anand for mansplaning that the "diya jalao was not meant to go-corona-go the virus away". Hum toh symbolism jaante hi nahin.

And to answer Abhinandan's question about "what is the product of this symbolism?", well, Raman Sir answered that question: The product is "those people who didn't turn off their lights (and were hence easily identified since it was dark ,unlike the taali/thaali bajao, where they were difficult to spot)".

Hello NL,

I have one question for Abhinandan. Should we call it the "China virus"? I understand that doing so right now would be confusing and is probably ill-advised, but what do you think about Bill Maher's rant?

Thanks and Regards

Hi Abhinandan,

This is Shipra Garg, a Newslaundry subscriber. I heard in NL Hafta about the food distribution your friends are helping with in Delhi.

Can you please put us in contact with the people who manage this work? My husband and I want to sponsor 50 packets. A bank account in which we could transfer the funds would be highly appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Shipra Garg

Hi Abhinandan,

It's been a while that I wrote to you. I read this story and I thought I should discuss this with you, and hope the Hafta team does so too. I know you will have a packed schedule, but do see if you can weave this into your discussion this week.

The reason I ask you guys to discuss this is because of the business model Bloomberg operates on. It's mainly subscription-based (The Bloomberg Terminal, essentially) but they still got swayed by business interests. As you are an avid reader of NPR, I think I wouldn't be shining a light on this story for you. In case you guys don't find the time, do make this a recommendation for your listeners.

Regards,

Vivek Ananth
