After Ruben Banerjee's 'one month leave', Chinki Sinha takes over as Outlook editor
Sinha will take charge from September 14.
Chinki Sinha will join Outlook magazine as its editor, according to an email from the Outlook group's chief executive officer Indranil Roy. Sinha will take charge from September 14.
A journalist for over 15 years, Sinha has formerly worked with BBC News, Al Jazeera, Open magazine, India Today, and the Indian Express.
On August 13, Newslaundry had reported on how Outlook editor Ruben Banerjee had gone "on leave for a month". The email was prosaic enough, but the move was seen as Banerjee’s exit from the group.

Ruben has been facing a lot of pressure from the management lately."
Banerjee had joined the Outlook group in April 2018 from Hindustan Times, where he was national affairs editor. He took over as editor-in-chief of Outlook weekly in English and in Hindi and Outlook Money. In June, he was appointed editor-in-chief of all Outlook group publications and digital properties.
